We met Josh + Megan on a cold, cold day in February at our favorite spot in midtown–Cafe Intermezzo. We sipped yummy martinis as we listened to each of them gush about the other one. He’s a free spirit and has lived all over the country. She’s career oriented and as country as they come–she drives a truck, raises cows, and got her hair and makeup done for the engagement shoot where Josh said “I haven’t seen her looking like this, well, ever!” We spent a good 2 hours chatting, laughing, and eating. By the end of the night we were already planning the engagement shoot because we knew we would be working together. We were thrilled that they wanted photos on Josh’s family owned sand pit in Reynold’s, GA. We were immediately inspired by the endless mounds of white sand that made us feel like we were in a remote location.
Megan had forewarned us that she “absolutely hated photos”. But we were determined to change her mind. Once we saw a google image of how massive the sand pits were we challenged ourselves to make GA look like the desert and to make Megan love photos. We sent Megan a couple of outfit ideas and she totally went for it. She was a total knockout in a red lace maxi dress by designer Alexis Barbara Isaias. And although the dress was a little out of her comfort zone, Megan totally rocked it!
