Tradition and the South go hand in hand. Some people might find it a bit slow, not progressive enough for the fast-paced world we all get swept up in. But there is such beauty in the quiet traditions that we carry with us. Stephen and Sarah proved that in droves on their wedding day in Macon, Georgia.
The weather was warm, the sun was shining. Stephen and Sarah were both giddy with excitement to meet each other at the end of the aisle. After a whirlwind engagement it was obvious that these two knew they were meant to be together and they were anxious to get this party started!
Sarah was a dream in her lace ball gown, Stephen and his men were top notch dapper in their tuxedos. Everyone was dressed to the nines and ready to celebrate the contagious love between the bride and groom. After a traditional ceremony where guests filled the church with songs of worship and prayer, Stephen lifted the veil for his bride to give her their first kiss as husband and wife.
The air was full of magic as guests moved to the reception to enjoy good food, drinks and some of the most impressive dancing we’ve seen in a while! Even Stephens Grandmother made an appearance on the dance floor! The summer sun faded into evening and soft lighting filled the night. When it was time for their farewell, Stephen and Sarah made a quick outfit change and let their guests send them off with joy and sparklers. It was a dream. It was an honor. It was a Southern soiree success if we’ve ever seen one.
