This is definitely one of the highlights of our professional careers here at Leigh + Becca! While getting published in an online blog is a big deal, getting hand picked to be one of TWELVE weddings featured out of thousands of submissions is a dream come true. Thanks so much to The Knot for featuring our work from Steven + Deborah’s Downtown Atlanta wedding! We absolutely loved everything about this wedding from the gorgeous setting at Summerour to the delicate Amy Osaba florals and the beautifully heartfelt emotions that flowed throughout the day. Be sure to grab your copy of The Knot Georgia when they hit the shelves on July 4th!
Deborah’s mom could not have been more lovely than in those moments when she saw her daughter in her Bel Fiore Bridal gown for the first time. What made this even more special is that she poured her heart and soul into her daughters dress by adding custom beadwork into the design.
Steve and Deborah are both Korean, so they wanted to share their culture by featuring a traditional Korean wedding, or Paebaek ceremony. It was quite a treat for their diverse group of friends, as well as the older relatives who recalled their own weddings. Historically, Korean celebrations are extremely colorful and bright, so their attire, table decorations, and even the food, were displayed beautifully for their guests to enjoy.
One of our favorite parts of the ceremony is when chestnuts and jujubes are thrown by the parents for the bride and groom to catch. According to tradition, it’s a foreshadowing of how many children the couple will have 😉
A huge shoutout to the amazing team of wedding vendors who helped make this dream wedding come to life!
